Hello. If you've found this page by netstumbling or wardriving, congratulations, that is what I intended.
I created this page because the access point with an essid of 'quadpoint.org/ap' is located near the engineering campus of the University of Illinois, where I am (currently, in 2006) an undergraduate student of Computer Science, and the URL-as-essid idea is a project with a goal of meeting new people with interests similar to mine. It is a sort of 'easter egg,' if you will.
Said AP is a Netgear WGR614 (802.11g). It is configured to use WPA-PSK encryption with the maximum 63-character random ASCII passphrase. In addition, a MAC access control list is set. SSID broadcasts are turned off, also.
If you did indeed find this URL with a tool like Kismet (or less likely, wpa_supplicant's scan_ssid), and have an interest in computers, shoot me a note on IRC, AIM, or facebook.
